Will not start - turn overs
1985 V8 - 4barrel Automatic, cruise, loaded Silveraldo Chevy Truck, 63,000 Org. miles.
There seems to be no spark at the plugs.
I replaced the distributor cap, rotor,Control module, removed the dist. and checked the wiring.
It is getting fuel, you can smell it.
Sometimes you can go out and it will start just fine ,after it runs a while it may quite running or I can turn it off and go back 30 minutes later and it will not start.
The truck has not been started in the last couple months and now it will not start at all.
What maybe the problem?
How can I check to see that the dist. is getting the right voltage or if the ignition key is sending the voltage the system needs.
One of the connections at the dist. is marked B+ ( is this a 12 volt check point?.
Any advise would be greatly appreiated.
Thanks for your time,
jim
