I have intermittent wipers and they won't shut off. The problem comes and goes. Has anyone else had this problem and do you know which part failed? Thanks!

 

It really needs to be checked...but its a good bet that the problem is the wiper module...it probably has corroded circuits from water intrusion.

 

Argon, thanks for the info. Is the module part of the motor assembly or is it a separate component? Is it located under the hood?
I'm familiar with older GM vehicles, but it's time to get to know this one, since it's out of warranty.

 

Unfortunately,its under the cowling...you have to remove the wiper arms and the cowl...
I'm not sure about aftermarkets,but gm offers just the module...(its the "cover" of the wiper motor)
