I put torsion keys in my 93 chevy and it wasnt the easiest thing in the world because everything was rusted together but on a newer truck like that it might be easier because of not so much rust. you also need a special tool to release the pressure off the key to take it out. when i did mine it took me about 12 hours because of all the rust. it gives the truck a little bit stiffer ride but in my opinon it make the truck look alot better.

I mentioned this on another message, so if you already read it I apologize......

For just leveling, you don't need to buy any kits. I leveled my 1997 K1500 simply by cranking the torsion bar adjustment bolts. This amounted to in the neighborhood of two to threeinches rise, which easily leveled the truck. I didn't do this blindly. I did quite a bit of research first, as well as analizing the design and mechanics of the suspension system. I am 48 years old, very mechanically inclined, and have spent my life working on and modifying everything with an engine- cars, trucks, airplanes, lawnmowers, and motorcycles. I used a floor jack to raise all weight off the front wheels. I then simply used a combination wrench and made five turns on each bolt. The first thing I did however was to liberally spray good penetrating oil all over the bolts and threads and let it soak for several minutes. All in all it took about fifteen minutes. It rides a bit more stiff, like the 60s/70s era 4x4s. That was a full year and 12,000 miles ago. I have had no problems, no unusual tire wear, etc. If you want to raise it any higher than that, then I do recomend that you look into the various lift kits.
