i did a little more testing on the system this evening. Per Mitchell troubleshooting instructions, one ought to test A7 and A1 on the 16 pin connector. Both were within spec: A7 to ground was less than 1 ohm, and A1 to A7 was 12 volts. The pin numbers can be found by opening the clamshell portion of the connector housing.
