Well I just purchased my 01 Ram quad cab 5.9L and just got rid of my chevrolet silverado. but I do have a question about the truck it doesn't seam to get up to temp according to the thermostat. It will stay right under the line where it is suposed to be and the heat comming out of the vent is luke warm not hot. I'm thinking maybe my thermostat is stuck open does this sound correct? or could it be something else...I am new to owning a dodge so it may take a me a few posts to catch on =) also the truck has 88K on it...

 

probably a thermostat...unless you live in a real frigid area,then you may need the ol cardboard

 

haha no i don't think I lneed the card board here...I live in northern indiana right on the boarder of michigan...thanks for your input.
