Default 2001 Dodge 1500 4x4

Hey you all. I am not much of a mechanic so bear with me please. I have a 2001 Dodge 1500 4x4 Sport. It is a v-8 5.9 liter. Have owned it for about two years without problem. There are about 90,000 miles. While driving it yesterday i noticed that when pushed on the gas after a stop it didn't have the same kick to it. once i get past the initial start though it seems to gain its normal power. I have been strict with my oil changes and the person that owned it before me took good care with papers to show. Please tell me this may be something i could just fix with fuel cleaner. I am open to all suggestions. Thanks for any advise.

The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump so either you can clean the filter or take out and replace it completely. It costs about 200$ for a replacement....so first try the cleaning bit.
