Default Aftermarket Exhaust

Well, I bought my first Dodge about 2 weeks ago. I blew my transmission on my 89 3/4 ton Sierra and bought this Dodge on sale. It's an 07' half ton dodge single cab with a 3.7 liter v-6. 6 Gears on the floor.
Question out there for all you gear heads. I've never owned a V-6 before and was wondering if I could put an aftermarket exhaust on it for a good pur or if the V-6 would just whine like a wind up toy. And if it's possible to get a good sound out of the 6 what muffler(s) should I be looking for. Much appreciate any input.

The entire exhaust pipe is likely fairly small, so if you want it to sound better, without the popping and farting noise, I would suggest you replace all the piping to the downpipe, probably with 2.5" or bigger, and a decent flowing muffler to match.

agree with the above post you have to replace the piping to the downpipe to fit well. as to the muffler, there are lots of choices to choose from. there are lots of tuck parts available in the market, so I'm sure you"ll have no difficulty in finding one. good luck..
