Buyer Be Ware!!!
Just bought a brand new 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew cab. Purchased from dealership in riverhead ny. Within hours of purchase noticed scratches/ paint chip & a dent. Contacted dealer in regards & a nightmare ensued. After the dealer admitting that they were factory issues & making feeble attempts to repair said issues chrysler was contacted. The end result was chrysler stated since the dealer was satisfied w/ the repairs, then they were as well & no further action would be taken to correct the issues. Irregardless of my dissatisfaction. Well I'm no genius but last time I checked customer service was about the satisfaction of the customer. Not the manufacturer or dealer!

I didn't even mention that they left paper & tape on my intake throttle body control or that the rear 60% leather seat seemed discolored, or that the front lower portion of the plastic on my center consoles kick panel was a different color than the rest. W.T.F! It's a brand new truck & both the dealer & chrysler act as though I'm the one in the wrong!

If you would like to post the name of the dealership it would garner more attention and perhaps we can get the attention of people at Chrysler. I know on some of my GM related forums GM has actually come through for alot of people and had their issues fixed quickly. I can forward it to the right people.
Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Hopefully it gets taken care of

The name is the town of riverhead & just add the brand. Thanks friend. Just want things to be done right, tired of getting taken advantage of. I would spell the dealership name outright, but don't know if I should be concerned about legal issues?

Don't take no for an answer. I would be a real pain in their asses until they made it right. New trucks aren't cheap and if you are spending that kind of money they need to make you happy. I once visited a rim and tire store everyday after they installed a set of wheels for me and broke a flat monitering sensor and wouldn't own up to it. I met everyone at the door and told them not to buy wheels or tires there and explained my situation to anyone that would listen. They ended up giving me a good bit of cash back to take my car back to the dealer to fix the issue. In the end I was satisfied.

Thanks friendo, I would be very grateful for that. Truth be known I'm a GM guy since birth. This is my 1st chrysler purchase ever. I was gonna go w/ the silverado but the ram offered alot more for my money. It has a nicer interior, 5 link rear coil spring. Suspension & the larger dissplacement engine w/ the 4cylinder shutdown. I wouldevee taken the chevy though had they just stepped up their interior.
