I just bought a 2003 Ram 1500 SLT, 47L, 5-sp, w/lots of bells and whistles. Being a '60s car enthusiast, if not a bit of a dinosaur, I'm a little green (so to speak) about how to use some of the features.

1. Multipurpose computer in the ceiling with data for temp, MPG, etc. How do I program/reset these readings?

and a couple of duh questions...

2. How do I reset the trip meter?

3. The specs say OD is standard equipment with this engine/package. In the absence of any such controls, does this mean 5th gear is OD? (5th gear @ 1500 RPM = about 58 MPH).

Problems I inherited include:

1. Brake and ABS warning lights pop on, within a minute after firing it up and taking off. Brakes seem to work fine.

2. Seat belt light stays on, even when belts are in use.

3. Cruise control lurches (mildly, but enough to be a PITA), even though the speedometer seems to be steady.

Any help here would be appreciated.
