Default Opinions?

I've been looking and I'm finding some nice deals on lifted 1500 rams and they sound so sweet too... All I hear is bad things about them, i don't know if what I hear from is just people who love chevy or if they really are junk... I would be looking at 03-07 most Likely... What your opinions on reliability/milage/repairs on the rams?

I have an 02 Dodge ram 1500, 108,000 miles on it. I did have to replace the tranny once but other than oil changes, tires, brakes, and wipers. It has been really really good to me I would buy another.

I was talking to a person about his 07 sterling Ed. And he said don't go earlier than 07 but I really like the 03-07 so what years should I stay away from? Are older trannys known to go bad? What kind of milage are you getting?

I will totally back rider up. Any earlier than 07 on those trucks won't kill you, but you'd be better off going newer!

i think the RAM 1500 is the best. one of my friend uses it, he finds it very impressive. it has great appearance, strong and muscular body what else could you need. the engine is also very powerful and ready to boost away.

Ram 1500 is one of the bets truck manufactured by Dodge. Great performance, great mileage. I would suggest you to buy the latest one

Over the years I've owned 2 Chevy trucks, 8 Jeeps, (CJ's, Wranglers, a Cherokee and a couple of Grand Cherokee), An 05 Dodge. I currently own a 2012 Wrangler and a 2011 Hemi RAM.

I bought the RAM when my Chevy 6L 2500 tossed a rod at 145K miles. The Jeeps and RAM's rarely see anything beyond basic maintenance

All three of the US Truck manufacturers make good trucks. All three will have some number that have problems. I travel almost every week and get to drive a lot of rental cars and trucks. I drove a Eco Boost F150, A Chevy 5.3 and a RAM 4.7. My previous RAM 2500 was a Hemi so I know what kind of power it had. The Ford had nice interior. There was no beating the RAM 1500 for drive comfort. The Hemi is more powerful than a Chevy 6.0 and nearly as powerful as the current 6.2. An added benefit is the RAM Hemi gets much better gas mileage than the Chevy 6.2 and pulls better than the Ford Eco-boost
