I have a 1998 ram 1500. I have stock 16 inch rims with 265 75 16 tires currently. I need to replace the tires and I see some deals around for rims with tires from newer vehicles cheaper than just replacing the tires. My question can rims from an 02 or newer ram 1500 fit on my vehicle. I'm leaning on 17 inch rims seems same bolt pattern which is 5x5.5 from what I have been able to find. I think in 02 they went to a larger lug bolt that is 9/16 inch compared to 1/2" on previous years. Does anyone know if these rims will fit on the vehicle without any problems? Also if the Dakota rims also 5x5.5 will also fit? Any help is much appreciated.
