New to the forum... Lots of great posts in here thanks.... Thought I would Post pics of my sportster 4 install in my 07 Ram. It can with factory sirius but the radio didn't show info so I wanted to fix that with a hand held. I had a cable made to use the factory antenna so I didn't have to run that magnet antenna. Also, hardwired the sirius unit power to the cig. lighter and used a aux cable. Any feed back or ?'s on the install would be welcome!! thanks......

Great idea - did you factory antenna already have a cable? Just bought a 2006 Ram 1500 that came with the factory Sirius antenna and a Sirius receiver. Am not going to use the receiver - unplugged it and am using my portable. I intended to crawl under the dash to get the antenna cable, and re-route it up to the cradle on my dash. Just wondering if you tried that?

 

The factory end of the antenna ends just above the glove box in my 07. The length wasn't long enough to reach where I wanted to mount my plug and play.
