I've got an '04 f150 v8 5.4 with the shortest flowmaster muffler on right now. Its damn loud but ideally I want that deep diesel gurgle. Although I can't match that I want to get as close as possible with a gas truck thats got 4 kats(unfortunately as much as i love ford). I've heard that there are tips that can effect depth but from my experience I've encountered two trucks (chevy Z71 and a 96 f250 with 351) which had a deeper tone after putting on a tip and dozens where tips were solely for style. Any input? I want that depth without spending a thousand on some banks kit.

 

I was considering experimenting and cutting off the flowmaster and welding on some steel fencing see what it does to the depth ....open to suggestions
