Default 95 F150 Muscle Truck

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this site, but not to working on cars/trucks. My wife just got a cherry 95 F150 short bed with a 6 cylinder and automatic from her brother as a gift. She wants me to upgrade it. So here is what I'm thinking....Muscle Truck.

Suspension upgrades including brakes to make the truck handle better

Engine upgrade/conversion to V8.

Interior sound upgrades.

The questions I have are what are you guys doing to customize your trucks? Engine wise I was thinking of getting a cobra motor or maybe the new Coyote crate engine and transmission. Is this doable has anyone else done this swap before? Suspension wise I'm looking to improving handling and braking. Big brakes with mustang type handling.

My last project was a 69 Trans Am Convertible frame off restoration, that I swapped in a LS1/T56 6 speed, and the interior from a 2004 GTO.

Sam

I used to drive a 1995 Lightening that was a pretty stout little truck. If you could find one of those motors it would be a night and day difference. Since it came in that year truck it should be a fairly simple swap.

im pretty sure the lightning had better suspension then the regular f150 too so id say that would be your best bet.
