Im looking for a chip/ programmer for my 94 f150 5.0l 302 4x4 automatic.

i want something that i could switch between economy and towing easily. do they make something that stays in the truck permanently?

Destry Foyte says that unless you do something with the engine ecm (electronic control module) there is not much out there but scams. Most $60.00 power chips they call them don't do much if anything. Most try to trick the ecm into thinking it is getting the best air through a couple of Radio Shack diodes that use voltage to trick the ecm. Which then forces it to inject a different ratio of fuel through the injectors to achieve some sort of noticable fuel economy. This in fact can make the truck run worse depending on certain climate conditions. So unless you go right to the ecm which can be very expensive and voids warranty there is not much help out there.
