i have an 84 ford f-150
needs a new carb but is still only getting 8 mpg
what could i buy to increase my MPG otherthan the new carb

 

with the model year of your truck you may look at the hydroxy stuff on the net.. if you are handy with your hands and a bit of fabrication you can make a hydroxy system and they work great on older models... you don't have the problem of oxygen sensors to deal with and the hydroxy you make goes directly into the carb air intake... my email is gary74@northstate.net.. we are talking between 20 to 50% difference...
