Default Please help!!

Hi, I just bought a 1989 ford f150 and when i try to accelerate it starts to sputter and won't go any faster. Any ideas? I'm thinking it's the spark plug wires but could it be something else?

Could be several things. Air/fuel mixture or dirty carbs.

Probably your cat try to drive it or let it run for a few and it might turn red hot. Alsosee how much pressure you got coming out of the end maybe have someone give it some gas wile you check.
