On my 08 F150 I have the factory chrome wheels. Its nice, but its just a little to flashy for me. Some buddies were telling me that the chrome was just a cover over the alloy wheels. I was just wondering if this was true and if it was how to remove them. I like the look of the alloy wheels and it would save me a lot of work at the car wash...

Here's my truck with the chrome wheels. I was cleaning them this morning and noticed that there was a gap in between the alloy and the chrome, as if the chrome was just a "hubcap"
