Cool Good morning!

Thank you for all the specs on my truck. Good info to know! No, there is no owners manual with it. I am quite surprised as the truck seems mint and there was only one registered owner on title dating back to the new purchase. Guess I am going to just have to google how to replace that thermostat. Might even get to that today or tomorrow if this rain doesn't ruin the plan. Gotta seal the leaks in my RV first though. Everytime you move those suckers, if it leaked somewhere, it will leak again, and it did. Being as I live in it, it's priority right now. But gotta get that truck running somewhat ok as I have to move it soon too! Oh if there were only two of me!

Vinzeaharrison, your posting makes no sense in this thread. There is a perfectly good conversation going here about my truck, please be nice and keep negative comments to yourself. Thank you so much.

Your truck has the 5.8 in it? The thermostat should be under the piece that bolts to the block near the top front right where the main fluid hose goes into the block at.

Amsoil makes the best Synthetics that there is. They are all I use for any kind of oil anymore.

Talking Thanks guys!

You guys have been most helpful. And thanks for the metric conversion. I'd have to use that widget on my phone to figure that one out. lol I thought for sure it would take more anitfreeze but am glad it doesn't'! Sure wish you guys were closer. I'd offer a case of beer and a good dinner to get this truck going right. It absolutely sounds like hell, so there is a big exhaust leak on it, which I know doesn't fare well for gas mileage, but on a truck that big, whose counting anyways? lol
