My F350 lets me down once in a while. It has happened 2-3 times. For no reason at all the batterys are flat enough I need a jump. Have charged them up and had them tested and they are ok. has Ford had an issue with electrical? The same has happened to my sons 2007.

 

I have four 2005 F-250's and one '05 F-350, and one '04 E-350, and two '05 F-150's in my fleet and have had battery issues with all but one. The one problem I have found is that the terminal connections are extreemly weak. The thin/flimsy clamp around the posts will corrode fast. I have started cleaning, cleaning meaning removing and using a wire brush, every oil change and have resolved most of the problems.

 

I run a stock alt with 2 16v batterys. With the alt off I go down the track with16v With the ALT on my fast system and racepak record 18v so it must be doing something.

 

i have had to replace one of my batteries because after it gold pretty cold for the first time (25ish at night) the next morning the truck wouldnt crank and then got the batteries tested and one of them was shot
