Default F250 Fuel Mileage

I have a 2003 F250 Super Duty with the V10, 6 speed manual.

On the highway I get about 15mpg and about 11 in town.

I have read a lot of different things on ways to improve fuel mileage, some sounding good, and some sounding BS.

One of the ones i was wondering about is the removal of the Catalytic Converter. I have heard it helps on getting better gas mileage, then have heard it screws up the computer.

Does anyone know anything about this matter? If it works, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Also, are there any other ways to improve MPG? Bigger exhaust, intake upgrades, chips?

I used a Flex-a-Lite fan set and a Superchips TriMax tuner with good results.

What kind of results are we talking about? And also, what kind of prices are we looking at?

I always ran a constant 12 MPG in town. The bonus was the HP was thru the roof when combined together. You would need to shop around for current pricing.
