Default rear differential.

Will the complete rear end assenbly from a f250 work under a F150 as long as the gear ratio is the same as the front. Reason asking is wanting to build a short wheel base F150 with the suspension and gear specs of the 250. Love the F150 but suspension is 2 weak, love the strenghth of suspension and the rear axle of the f250 but dont like the length of the 250. MIght sound crazy but would like to combine the 2 and come up with a short wheel base f250. For the simple fact i have never seen one with regular cab and 6 foot bed. 87 to 96 model. Just able to do more and go more places with short wheel base.
