'77 Chev C10 Possible carb problem?
Hi all
I'm new here and by no means am I a mechanic or mechanically inclined, but I am slowly trying to restore, or at least make my truck road worthy.
It is a 1977 Chevrolet C10 and has a problem with starting. It seems to only run well in the heat, or after the engine has warmed up to around 150 Degrees (water temp). If the engine is cold, I have to do the following:
-pump the gas a few times while key is turned
-turn key (attempt to start) 2 or more times
-keep my foot lightly on the gas once started to keep it running until engine reaches running temperature
Would this a carburator problem?
Thanks

I'm not sure what kind of carb it is, but before I posted here I didn't know what a choke looked like (yes, like i said I'm not very mechanically inclined when it comes to cars), so I looked it up on Google Images, and watched a couple vids on how to adjust it.
You were correct, after making a small adjustment to the choke it started up and remained running nice and smoothly on the first try.
Thanks very much
