HELP! 92 GMC Sierra Cranks but won't start

I tried to start my 92 GMC Sierra this morning, it crank but wouldn't start. I went back out a little while ago and put my foot on the brake (god only knows why I tried that) and it started? Can anyone tell me why it did this?

your brake probably didnt have anything to do with it. watch out for a possible fuel pump problem
