Insatllation water pump 1998 S10 V6 have a few problems

Default Insatllation water pump 1998 S10 V6 have a few problems

Installing water pump 1998 S10 V6,cant turn the nut that holds cooling fan on (hope its not reverese thread ) how do i get it off ?

also when fan off, will there be enough room to get water pump out , without having to renmove radiater.thanks

should still be the old nut and threads on there, and with the fan out of the way it should give enough room if not remove the upper fan shroud.

you'll need a special tool to remove the fan...a parts store may rent one

Thanks for the replys >> Water pump installed ,I removed belt before removing fan & couldnt hold from spinnomg ..a frend had a strap wrench got fan assembly off & had enough room to install new pump with no problems ...now trying to replce tailgate straps how the hell do you get then off tailgate a hardened rivit holds them on ..looks like drilling out or cutting with dremmel..any idea ??
