striped bold on driveshafts hold u joint on lol
today i was fixing my truck all bolts came up besides this 1 ive bought new bolts cause i knew this was going to happen. but as i was bout to take the old seal out and put the new one in i start to take the drive shaft off it striped soo i tried everything vice grips um ive tried chiseling it out didnt work soo i might weld a bolt head on that bold then take it off good idea or noo ? or any other ideas that will work besides drilling it out
dont weld it cause it can snap plus you will have to grind the weld down and re thread it
personaly i would get an extractor set and drill a small hole into it and extract it like any shop would do trust me short cuts arent allways teh best as i have learned the hard way when i had a fuel tank hit the ground when i was driving i used a zip tie to hold the strap on an older car i used to have it worked great until winter came and the plastic got brittle andbroke
