1995 chevy K 2500 5.7 TBI no spark
I reinstalled the engine after rebuild and had no spark. in the process of trying to determine the issue I fried the coil. replaced coil still no go. replaced distributer and another coil. still nothing. I have 12v. to both pink wires on coil. good ground block to frame, frame to chassis, chassis to block. I connected a LED to the white signal wire on the coil from the distributer and when I apply voltage the ignition energizes with the key off, fuel pump starts, etc. don't know if this is to be expected. should there be a ground from the controller to the distributer? or does this occur when the signal is sent from the controller? i do not have continuity to ground on any of the pins going to the distributer.
