Hi guys, I’ve recently had cause to replace the EGR valve and solenoid on my 91 Silverado 5.7 and have a problem with the valve opening during takeoff. It idles great but as soon as I put it under any load it opens and the truck starts sputtering and running rough. If I unplug the solenoid it runs fine but then I’ve bypassed the EGR operation. It seems the solenoid is getting a signal from somewhere that it needs to open the EGR to soon, is my ECM at fault? Thanks !
