Default How to soup up my 1987 F-250 with the 7.5L 460 big block

i recently just purchased a 1987 F-250 XLT Lariat with the 7.5L 460 big block in it. The truck is awesome, i'm just wondering what ways i can make my truck perform the best. i don't have a huge budget, about $1,000. I'm not an idiot when it comes to mechanics, but i am not an expert by any means. Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks,
Hunter

Welcome hunterjordan! Those 460 are great motors. Too many options to talk about here. I had one, 1975, punched out to 478, about 500hp @ rear wheel. Fun truck, lost my license because of it...
