Looking to purchase a truck for hauling things around town. I don’t need to tow a boat or anything heavy, although that would be a bonus. I don’t want to spend anymore than maybe 15k tops. So my question is, what years and makes should I be looking at? I am assuming at my price range i will be in the late 90’s and early 2k. If I remember right ram, wasn’t very reliable back then? I swore my old buddy said GMC or Ford going back that far, but he has since passed and he was my go to truck guru.

any help so I can narrow down a search would be awesome. Like I said above the truck would be used for in town dump runs, big box stores purchases, and the occasional out of town purchase as my wife like to antique. So something I can rely on getting me a few hours from home
and back.
