New guy with an old truck
Hey there, everyone!!
I just signed up. I have an '87 F-350 with 7.5L and Holley carb. It was built 2 months (late '86) before Ford converted to EFI. I got it about a year old from a Toyota dealer....they gave it away. It only has 116K miles, and is in pretty good shape. No rust or dents, and an almost new Leer cap that matches the medium brown metallic paint. It is brown/white/brown. My Asian in-laws call it 'the 747' because they have never ridden in anything so big (that wasn't a bus) or so loud...JBL headers and volcanic cinder-pac mufflers. It's been totally dependable up til now...it has an ignition problem related to the failure of the ignition switch linkage. That's why I'm here.
