Mike here, with a 1993 GMC 2500. While this isn't my first truck (used to have an '85 F150), it's been almost 10 years. And this is the first vehicle with a diesel engine I've ever owned.

Bought the truck in Athens, Alabama. While driving it back home to Kentucky, the tranny went out. Managed to nurse it home and I'm in the process of swapping trannys. This is a first for me also, so I'm probably going to need a lot of advice.

Nice to meet y'all.

Transmission failures suck! I know that first hand.

Got the trans replaced, still won't shift. Suspect an electrical problem at this point. Ready to admit defeat and take it to a shop. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it could be a pressure problem. Or a torque converter... but thats for the Sierra section
