I used to own a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9L and LOVED it. But I'm debating between sticking with dodge or trying out a chevy. I know those older dodges had tranny issues and I don't know a lot about chevy but everyone I talk to prefers them. Wondering if I could get some experts opinion I know that with the price range I'm looking at, the truck will have high mileage so I'd also like to know engines and trannys that would fit inside said models.

What I need to know:

-truck with most available parts
-truck with the largest aftermarket
-Truck under 8k


I know this thread is stupid and y'all will laugh at me. I just need to know what's best in your opinion.
