Default Really liking my 02 GMC

Hello all and a big thanks to those who exchange info on this board. I have learned much from this site already. I just did the int. steering shaft replacement and greased the front end yesterday.

Last month I bought an 02 GMC Sierra Z-71 SLT extended cab with 125K miles on it. I paid little too much for it($12K) but it was very well maintained, had a clean carfax, its in exceptional condition inside and out. This truck is a joy to drive. It rides great, its roomy, the seats are very comfortable and has tons of power. I only hope that its holds up. I have read reviews that say everything from "these trucks are junk" to "this is the best truck I have every bought".

Before I bought this truck, a dealer friend of mine said, "125K miles is nothing on these trucks" and "I've never heard anything bad about the 5.3".

Thanks again to everyone, I will be talking to you soon.

Welcome. The price on that truck doesn't seem too out of line. Around here it's hard to find one that's rust free for that kind of money

Thanks for the welcome folks. I accidently posted this in this new members area but meant to post it in the Chevy/Sierra area. So I posted it over there too. Sorry for the double post.

I did mean stop by and say hello though.

I looked at and drove about 10 of these trucks before buying this one. Spending less on one meant more miles or worse condition. I saw similar trucks at dealers for $15K.

machman this thread seems to be more relevant here in the new members section since it is more of a introduction post.
