Since its almost Halloween, I went into the closet and dusted off some old vinyl skeletons today. And boy am I glad I did!

With all due respect to James Brown and Aretha Franklin, Pops and Mavis were the true godfather & mother of soul, funk, and all that jazz. For those of you kiddies out there who consider yourselves conisseuers of all the funky, hip-hoppy new stuff thats popular nowadays, if you havent heard the Staple Singers before, its time you discovered the very cream of the crop.

A quick peek at Amazon suggests that this stuff is now available on polycarbonate, too.
