Prior to going to the Detroit Auto show, word of mouth from my guys from GM at LS!.com was, GMC was lending a whole truck to Chevy for the 07 Silverado line. After seeing the Silverado LTZ at Detroit with the Yukon interior and complete Sierra Driveline, I came here with word of another hiss. Silverado would be gone after 2009 or maybe even 2008 will be its last year. I said very little but you older members read it back in late October in one of my Posts. NOW that Jan 07 Car/Driver finally has shown it, what is going to come is a passing of a wonderful line of truck that GM has just F'd up. I have driven a 07 and my first but not only thought was "change the shocks." I am not going to insult any Chevy Silverado owner, you are my Brothers in taste. I was extremely disappointed with the same Silverado LTZ I saw at Detroit that appears in C&D. It appears that step side or faux step side GMC Sierra with a Silverado Grill is the last ditch effort to attract. GMC will take over, I doubt this not. I had to wait untril it showed up in a Mag before speaking out. I am sad.
