2001 GMC Sierra Passenger side power seat not working. It has power to it, and checked the switch in my buddies truck and it worked fine. Question is, Could one of the motors be burned up and cause all functions to quit working?

 

I keep my seat all the way back, Im tall...........anyways, it seems to get stuck there now and then. I hold the button and jerk the seat forward and it starts moving.....Maybe try that

 

Quite possible it is as simple as a stuck track. Try some penetrating fluid to free it up.
This makes me think I should do some preventative maintenance to my 07.5 so this doesn't happen to mine.

 

Appreciate the input guys, just got it fixed, all due to a faulty ground wire.

 

Glad to hear it was a simple fix and not an expensive fix
