The toyota dealership said my tacoma (99, 78k miles) has a bad piston but it shouldnt cause a problem. Do you agree and is there any remedy other than an engine rebuild?

 

a bad piston,well thats specific lol. depends on whats bad about it, compression is probly what they were talking about and if thats it, then no theres nothing you can really do to fix it without rebuilding. if they were talking about valves then you might be able to repair it with somewhat less work.
