Question spark plugs

I have a 2007 toyota tacoma 4 cyl.4x2 auto. trans. This may sound crazy but, where do I find the spark plugs? And is there any special procedure I need to follow. I have had 4 Tacoma's and this situation is a first.

This shows you where they are located.

This is a complet service manual. It's for an 05 and 06 but should be the same for your 07. There should be a section on replacing the plugs.

It is not crazy. This engine hides them.

On your 4 cyl Tacoma, the spark plugs sit on top of the engine under the coil packs.

Do this:

Open the hood
Look at the top of the engine
You will see 4 coil packs in a row
Each coil sits on one spark plug

To change them:

Disconnect the battery
Unplug each coil
Remove the bolt on each coil
Pull the coil out
Use a spark plug socket to remove the plug
Install the new plug
Put the coil back
Plug it back in

Do one at a time so you do not mix parts.

There is no special step beyond that. Just do not over tighten the plugs.
