Default Wheel Nuts, hub to stud piloted

Please help! I bought a set of truck rims from a guy who had his own shop in his garage. I paid a liitle extra to have him put them on for me. When I went to have the wheels/tires balanced later...I found out that he had installed 'stud-piloted' wheels on my F350-F550 10 lug adaptors set up for 'hub piloted wheels. When I found out, my heart sank a little....knowing I may have just dumped $2500 into some rims I cannot use. HOWEVER,.. some of the old farner guys I know said that you can run stud-piloted on a hub piloted setup, but not vice-versa. They also said, they have see the wheel nuts for this (must be same size, thread spacing as the 'flanged' nuts that are on there, but must be conical seat.) I cannot find them so far, but there's at least a couple guys that have a lot of experience...that swear these conical nuts exist! Can any body advise me on this situation. ? I would appreciate your help. Thanks. Luke
