well, i'm deffinetely liking the 6.0l with the turbo, i found out that the lq9 is what the Silverado SS comes with. here are a couple of links to some videos. but that 572 is a beautiful work of art.

yeah, that was a nice truck. the only problem with his set up was that the 4L60E he was using at first wouldnt hold up even after being rebuilt, he had to get a 4L80E. but he was also pushing 1033hp to the wheels on 26psi(i think) on the last dyno run.

I'd say go for it man if that's what you really want to do with the cash. I got 10k up front before Taxes and put some of it into the mods of my truck then brand spanking new at the time. Had I known that my injury was going to get me discharged a few years later I would have saved some of it You could still have alot of fun with 5-10k.

i'm sorry to hear that quick, injuries always suck. and you do have a good point cuase it can happen to anyone. well the motor i plan to buy has 340hp, plus heads, intake manifold, cams, and headers should put me over 400 at the wheels right? pus that isnt too much for my stock tranny to handle. something to think about.

bigdaddyred, i shouldve thought of that before i signed the contract!

I found out this weekend that you don't have to notch the block to stroke these 5.3s. Stroke it, put a set of Z06 heads and cam, high volume oil pump and get it tuned. About a grand and you'll be pushing close to 400.

Stay with natural aspiration due to your aluminum block. You don't want to force the crank through the bottom. Just my opinion.
