1995 Model question:
Hey, I have a 1995 c1500 extended cab, victory red Silverado trim truck, 5.7Liter 5-speed standard tranny. It still runs like new at 110,000 and has never needed a fix yet.
The question: not too long ago i was inspecting a scratch on the hood and happened to notice, VERY faintly, the outlining of the words "Quality GOODWRENCH Parts" across the hood in gigantic lettering (as if there had been stickers there, or perhaps a previous paint job that was painted over). There is also a race car driver looking signature underneath this, but i couldn't quite read the name. The original owners had put only about 10,000 miles on the truck when my dad bought it in '97.
So, does anyone have an idea where these mysterious marks came from? Would it have been simply an advertising truck for a Chevy dealership? Maybe a pace truck for NASCAR or something? Its been really bugging me lately.

Pretty cool bit of memorabilia there anyway All I got in my truck was a receipt for Latino CDs stuck back behind the glove box. That explains why my truck had ice blue double wiper blades when I got it

A friend of mine bought a 66 chevy and we found an old .22 rifle and it was a 1902 remington that happened to be really rare. It obvioulsy wasn't registered, so I ended up selling it to a collector for more than my friend bought the truck for. The truck was later resold when we put a newer I-6 in it. It was a fun old truck though. My friend gave me the rifle due to him living in a little city with his brothers and sisters. He didn't want them to get a hold of the rifle and do something he would regret.
