But wouldn't it still stumble with the tps unplugged if I had a bad O2 sensor?

Im not sure. The TPS, MAF, O2 Sensors, MAP Sensor work together. One goes out and will cause it to run crappy. O2 sensors over time will get lazy. New ones will help alot in idle, smoother acceleration, and MPG.

Would need a fuel pressure gauge to check at idle, start up, and some revs, and shut off.

Ok guys I have something new going on with this truck. It's already happened twice now Monday I had a little trouble getting it started after sitting for a couple of days, an today the same thing happened. Im beginning to believe it could be my fuel pump. What do you guys think?

I am curious to know, did you ever figure out a solution to the problem with your truck? I am having the same issues with my 02 silverado. Every time it rains it runs very rough. I have replaced plugs, wires, fuel filter, cleaned distributor, but still the same problem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you cleaned your MAF sensor lately?

I know this is a old thread. But theses trucks the dist. gear would get wore on one side .
Almost knife like. Plus the dist. had too be sealed real good moisture problems. One more thing could be fuel distribution spider getting clogged .

No I have not cleaned my MAF... I can give that a try. with electronic cleaner?

chevychase- I have read some things about moisture infiltrating the dist. in these trucks... spent too much money at a mechanic [ ] to get it "cleaned" but couldnt bring myself to spend the $400 and might not even be the problem.

Any parts store has them listed as Mass Air cleaner in a red and white can.
