This morning I went to start my truck and it just cranks, but no start. I hadn't driven it for a couple days and has been running fine for the four years I've owned it. Fuel pressure is 50-60. I changed fuel filter anyways. Engine[v6] will start only by squirting fuel into throttle body and will continue to run as long I as I keep feeding fuel. I connected a scanner to retrieve codes and scanner does not boot up. I tried the scanner in another vehicle and the scanner works fine. Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

 

Check fuses when the scanner won't connect. Are you getting the "Service Engine" light coming on for a few seconds when you turn the key on?
