how many miles can you get on the 6 L in the 03 gmc 2500 HD?

It is just like any other engine. It all depends on how you maintain it when it comes to your maintenance schedule and how you drive (treat) it.

im talking the truck has 280xxx km on it, and im wondering how much longer it will go. thanks for the replies.

There is really no telling. These motors now a days have been built real well and last alot longer, but depending on how well the fluids were kept clean. Based on that, I would rough guess about 400,000 at least.
