95 chevy problem
Hey everyone. I have a a question actually from my father in law. Truck is a 95 full size with a 350 in it. When its wet outside the truck wont start or it just dies. The cap and rotor and ignition coil have been replaced. Any idea what the cause could be? He also said that when they were loading it on a dolly they accidentally turned the key to far and it stared just fine. Like I said it keeps doing it, but only when theres moisture in the air. The truck is in Texas, so I would think because its a real humid area that makes it hard to chase down. I fixed a similar problem on a neighbors S-10, isnt there a module inside the distributor that does that can cause this?

RE: 95 chevy problem
Ignition wires (spark plug wire's with coil wire) would be my next guess. On a dry day start the truck and get a spry bottle with water in it. Start spraying the ignition wire including coil area. If you see arching going on you found your problem with the wires. Buy a good set if they are bad. Oem.

RE: 95 chevy problem
I would say to check the wires and see if it is getting spark on the cases where it will not start. Use a spark jumper. I think that is what they are called. They look like a spark plug, but no plug. They will have a windowor openingthat you can see the spark jump to the other side. That will help you narrow it down to fuel and air after that.
