99 sierra no start

Default 99 sierra no start

i have a 99 my truck was running fine one day then at idel it just stalled replaced fuel pump and come to find outthere is no power going tothe pmpi checked all fuses and there good anyone with ideas

If the fuse is good and there is no power to the pump I would start by checking the fuel pump relay see if it is working, if it is then I would start tracing the wiring forthe fuel pumplooking for any areas in the loom that are damaged. There has to be an open somewhere along the power wire to the pump. Option 2 is to run a fused (same as the fuel pump fuse) 12volt wire to the pump to test it, making sure that its functional, note that this for testing purposes only not a fix for your issue.

checked the relay relay is not clicking does have one power to it does have two grounds tried to jump it and nothing put new relay in it and nothing

make sure the fuse is hot on both sides with a test lite...just because its not blown does not mean its powered up.

if possible,check the gray wire again at the pump with the test lite....not running,you'll only have power on the gray for 2 seconds,so you'll need a helper to s[pin it over while you check it.
