Hi,

I am new here and am going to be replacing my transmission in a 99 silverado 1500 4x4. I have tried to search the forum for post on the processes of replacing a transmission, but have not found anything specific enough. If any of you guys know of a thread with this enough, could you post the link for me? Otherwise is there any types or specific steps that i should be aware of before i start taking it apart? Is it pretty straight fwrd? Is it best to just take the whole engine out or can i just do it from its current position? It looks pretty straight fwrd but ive never done this before so im sure they're things that i should be made aware of. Thanks!!
