Hello, If you dont mind i would like to give you a recommendation if your still looking for an exhaust for your vehicle, I would recommend The Gibson Exhaust system I have had several of these system on a few of my cars and trucks and if your looking for an exhaust that isnt to loud and still gives you the maximum amount of performance i would strongly Suggest the Gibson Cat- Back, There mufflers are not packed or stuffed with fiberglass and there stainless systems for the price are well worth it. I currently have a 1956 Gmc pickup and right now from the previous owner he installed a glass pack on it. I want to tone the sound a little bit by changing the muffler. I have a 270 straight 6 engine right now. I want dual exhast but i only have a single header. Can I put dual exhaust with a single header and just "Y" split the exhaust? How will it sound? Will it work? ANy suggestions? Thanks in advance,Bizz

 

Here's a heads-up for Gibson fans: as of the first of December, Gibson has included an additional piece of 3" flared stainless steel to be added to the head pipe after the flange is cut off so that their systems will work on 2009 GMC & Chevy trucks with the flared cat connection. Also included is an additional 3' s/s u-bolt. No additional cost.
