all turn signals flashing horn not working
I have a 2000 Silverado and have never had any problems up until now. My turn signals are flashing rapidly, all four flash when using either left or right. Which ever signal I am using is flashing faster than normal and is bright, the other one is flashing faster but is not as bright. Now my horn does not work and my windshield wiper water pump is not pumping (it is full). I have checked fuses and all related fuses are good. Any ideas?
Thanks
Thanks
Sounds like a ground issue to me. I know I have the same issue on my boat trailer which has a bad ground, so I would look for a gound issue first. I agree with argon that all your issues may be unrelated, but look for ground issues first, especially in the fuse boxes, and engine ground. Another thing to check is your trailer harness arcing (if you have one).
I forget in my original post to say this is an intermittent problem for about three weeks with the turn signals, they might work at one turn and the next they won't. The horn and windshield water pump I just discovered yesterday trying to see if other things were not working. I checked the cruise control and it works, as I thought maybe it was the turn signal itself and maybe the horn was a separate issue. Since everything seems to be localized to the steering column, could it be a wiring problem? Thanks for all the help.
